As a Web developer, I tend tear Websites apart and evaluate their functionality over anything else - if the site doesn't function perfectly, the Web user may leave the site. We all want people to stay on our Websites for as long as possible - and we want them to find what they need. After reviewing a few hundred Websites over the years, I noticed that many didn't provide a means to contact the site owner,or if they did, it was only an email address.

My reaction was to check to see if the domain name 'ContactForms.com' was available, and to write a Web application which allowed people to create a basic form, while still retaining the look-n-feel of their current site. I also wanted it to work so the users didn't have to deal with any code except a single link to their form. This allows you the user to get your form going in minutes.

Customization is a necessity, and your forms can be customized in two ways...

1. Design - there are 2 modes a user can work in - Basic and Advanced. In basic, the user simply selects colors (hexcodes like: ffffff = white) for elements like background and font color. With advanced, the user can add a 'header' and a 'footer' to the forms - for 100% Website integration.
2. Questions - you can create up to four of your own questions to be placed in your contact form. Each question can be one of five different form element types ( ex. textbox, check box). Plus, each question can have up to four options for selection.

Later in the year, the ContactForms service will be redeveloped from scratch and relaunched. The current version of ContactForms will be 'locked' and no additional forms will be allowed to be generated. The new service will provide a wide range of new features from larger multi-page forms, to storing data in our database, improved layout control, and additional pages - to expand your forms into... a site!

The new version... there's nothing quite like it on the Web, and I'm sure that once you see how it works, you'll think of new ways ContactForms could help your business and site. As you may suspect, the new version will require fees, but I can assure you that the fees will be as low as possible.
